Havana´s Highlights

The full experience

We pick you up at your hotel at 8:00 hrs. or later if it´s more convenient for you. If you want to sleep in that morning because you went partying the night before that´s Ok, we can leave anytime in the morning. We´ll leave for a comfortable and nice two hour drive to Havana. On the way there we will drive through Matanzas city, capital city of Matanzas province and known as the “City of bridges”. The next stop will be the look-out from Bacunayagua Bridge, Cuba´s highest bridge and one of the seven wonders of Cuban civil engineering. You will enjoy an amazing view of the bridge and at the same time taste the best “Piña Colada” in town.
We arrive at Havana City driving through the 2,460 foot long tunnel that connects the two ends of the bay of Havana. Once in the city we will take you to those places that you shouldn´t miss-the old Havana from the 50´s, the reason why Havana was known as one of the most beautiful cities in the western hemisphere. Places like the National Capitol Building, Central Park, the Grand Theatre, the world famous bar ¨Floridita¨ (where Ernest Hemingway used to drink his favorite drink ¨Daiquirí¨) and the former Presidential Palace nowadays Museum of the Revolution, all fully restored. It speaks loud of the splendor and glamour of those past days. Driving by the seawall on the way to the Revolution Square you will see how the old city merges with the new and modern buildings, creating a metaphor of the history of our country.
Once you get hungry, we´ll go and have lunch at a local restaurant, a meal that might just become the best one that you will have in Cuba (the average price goes from $15 to $20 CUC/per person). Right after lunch we take a walking tour in the oldest area of the city, colonial Havana, which will include its 4 main squares: San Francisco Square, Old Square, Main Square and Cathedral Square. The squares where the city was born and where the most beautiful buildings were built. It´s the time to travel in time on cobbled streets. Cuba is best known also by its two premium products, cigars and rum. Always optional we can take you to the Havana Club Rum Museum ($7 CUC/per person) and a cigar factory ($10 CUC/per person) where you will know and see how they are made but most interesting where they come from.
Last but not least, we wrap it up enjoying the most breathtaking view of Havana from “El Cristo de la Havana”, the largest sculpture ever made from Carrara white marble by a sculptress. It´s a breathtaking view that will crown your day and tour.
We drive back to your hotel sometime around 16:00 hrs knowing that you just took the best tour to the beautiful Havana and hoping to seeing you again.
